If you have Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, Go active, Get Healthy can offer you support to become more physically active. The programme offers:

  • Motivational coaching sessions on the telephone, at a time that is suitable for you. Perfect to fit in if you have a busy work schedule!
  • Additional support calls to offer with further advice on managing your diabetes and gain your feedback. Incentive vouchers are offered for these telephone calls!
  • Subsidised activities at various venues across Oxfordshire, a great opportunity to meet new people and manage your glucose levels.
  • The opportunity to request certain activities or classes to be set up near to you.

It's easy to get out of the habit of regularly exercising and often hard to get back into it, or to start for the first time!

Go Active, Get Healthy is appropriate for you no matter your age, fitness level, and ability. Taking fun classes and regularly exercising is a step towards a healthier lifestyle.

Not only does exercise affect your heart health, lower your cholesterol and blood pressure but it can improve your confidence and sleep quality!
